Since Finland is a member of the EU, all travellers from other EU states need to enter the country is a valid passport. According to current EU law, it is even possible for people from other EU member states to work here; something that many Germans take advantage of.

Roughly three-quarters of Finland is covered by dense pine and spruce forest. In the summertime, the average temperature is around 13°, whereas the long winters are very cold (on average -10°) and snowy.
